About Position: We are looking for a Modernization Developer with 5?8 years of experience to support and enhance existing Ruby on Rails and NGINX-based services while contributing to AI-driven modernization initiatives and data-aware engineering practices. The role combines application maintenance, modernization support, database optimization, and responsible use of AI-enabled engineering tools to improve delivery speed, code quality, and operational efficiency. Role: Modernization Developer Location: Pune Experience: 5 to 8 Years Job Type: Full-Time Employment What You'll Do: Maintain, enhance, and modernize Ruby on Rails-based services and related application components. Work with NGINX configuration, routing, reverse proxy concepts, and service hosting patterns for existing systems. Apply AI-led engineering practices to accelerate debugging, refactoring, test generation, documentation, and modernization analysis. Collaborate with development teams to align modernization initiatives with microservices, APIs, databases, and integration requirements. Support database design, query optimization, and data access improvements for modernization programs. Review AI-generated code critically and ensure it meets engineering quality, security, testing, and review standards. Contribute to data and AI-driven development approaches that improve engineering throughput and solution reliability. Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and modernization assessments. Support service-oriented architecture and modernization patterns across enterprise applications. Work closely with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to deliver modernization objectives. Expertise You'll Bring: 5?8 years of experience in software development and application modernization. Working knowledge of Ruby on Rails for maintenance, enhancement, and modernization of existing services. Understanding of NGINX, application routing, reverse proxy concepts, and service hosting patterns. Strong database fundamentals, including SQL, schema design, query optimization, indexing, and transaction management. Experience using AI coding assistants and AI-enabled engineering tools in software delivery workflows. Ability to review, validate, optimize, and improve AI-generated code using sound engineering judgment. Strong understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, modernization strategies, and service-oriented development. Good understanding of application integrations and distributed systems. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills. Exposure to .NET and C# development environments. Experience supporting hybrid modernization initiatives involving .NET and Ruby-based services. Experience with test automation and SDET practices. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Understanding of secure deployment pipelines and application security best practices. Familiarity with data-driven and AI-driven development approaches for modernization assessment and delivery acceleration. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Knowledge of modernization frameworks, cloud-native architectures, and enterprise transformation programs.
