About Position: We are seeking an experienced Data / BI Architect with deep expertise in enterprise data modelling, semantic modelling, and Power BI architecture. The role focuses on designing scalable BI solutions, building enterprise-grade semantic models, implementing governance frameworks, and enabling data-driven decision-making through modern analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong Power BI Premium expertise, BI DevOps experience, and exposure to AWS-based data platforms. Role: Data / BI Architect Location: Pune Experience: 12 to 15 Years Job Type: Full-Time Employment What You'll Do: Design and implement enterprise-scale dimensional data models including star schemas, fact tables, and dimension tables. Build, manage, and optimize semantic models using Power BI datasets and tabular models. Define and enforce enterprise data modelling standards, reusable measures, KPIs, and hierarchies. Implement semantic modelling best practices using Tabular Editor Best Practice Analyzer (BPA). Architect and deliver large-scale Power BI Premium solutions for enterprise analytics and reporting. Develop advanced DAX calculations and optimize report and dataset performance. Utilize Tabular Editor and DAX Studio for model optimization, governance, and performance tuning. Stay current with Microsoft Power BI product releases, features, and industry best practices. Implement version control and source management for Power BI assets using GitHub. Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for BI and analytics deployments. Integrate Power BI solutions with AWS services including Amazon Redshift and S3. Optimize data pipelines, data access, and reporting performance across cloud environments. Design and implement data governance, security, and compliance frameworks. Configure Object Level Security (OLS), Row Level Security (RLS), and data access controls. Define semantic layer standards and enterprise reporting best practices. Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams to deliver scalable reporting solutions. Provide architecture guidance, technical leadership, and mentoring to development teams. Expertise You'll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 12+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Data Architecture. Strong expertise in dimensional data modelling and data warehouse design principles. Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise semantic models. Deep knowledge of Power BI Premium architecture, administration, and deployment. Advanced proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and Power BI performance optimization. Hands-on experience with Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, and semantic model governance. Strong knowledge of Power BI datasets, tabular models, composite models, and semantic layer design. Experience implementing GitHub-based version control and BI DevOps processes. Expertise in CI/CD pipeline implementation for BI and analytics solutions. Hands-on experience with AWS services including Amazon Redshift, S3, and related data platform services. Strong SQL skills and experience working with enterprise data warehouse solutions. Experience implementing OLS, RLS, data security, governance, and compliance controls. Knowledge of data architecture best practices, reporting frameworks, and analytics modernization initiatives. Experience leading large-scale enterprise BI and analytics implementations. Strong understanding of performance tuning techniques across reports, datasets, and data models. Experience working with cross-functional teams in Agile environments. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities. Microsoft Power BI or related data platform certifications are preferred. Basic Python programming knowledge is an added advantage. Ability to define enterprise BI strategy, governance standards, and architecture roadmaps.
