Strong C/C++ programming, Linux environment, and a deep understanding of 3GPP standards for 4G is must for development. Layer 3 Skills: ? 4G System Development: Strong knowledge and experience in developing components for 4G (LTE) systems. ? Key 4G/5G Protocols: ? RRC (Radio Resource Control): Managing connections, mobility, and radio resources. ? PDCP (Packet Data Convergence Protocol): Header compression, ciphering, integrity protection. ? S1AP (S1 Application Protocol): Control plane interface between eNB and MME/S-GW. ? X2AP (X2 Application Protocol): Control plane interface between eNBs for handover. ? SON (Self-Organizing Networks): Automation of network configuration and optimization. ? 3GPP Specifications: Well-versed in the official 3GPP technical specifications. ? Programming Language: ? C/C++: Expertise in programming. ? 4G/5G Layer 3 Procedures ? Attach: Initial network access. ? Handover: Mobility management between cells. ? Re-Establishment: Recovering lost connections. ? Carrier Aggregation (CA): Combining multiple carriers for increased bandwidth. ? EN-DC (E-UTRAN New Radio - Dual Connectivity): A key 5G NSA (Non-Standalone) feature allowing simultaneous connection to LTE and 5G NR. ? L3 data path skills - GTPU, DPDK & VPP expertise ? Linux Environment: ? Programming & Debugging: Strong skills on Linux. ? OS Concepts: Good understanding of Inter-Process Communication (IPC), Processes, Threads, and Multithreading. ? Containerization Experience with Kubernetes, Pods, and Docker for deployment and orchestration."
