About Position: We are seeking a highly experienced Telecom Domain Expert with deep expertise in 4G LTE, 5G Core, Mobile Network Analytics, KPI Definition, and Telecom Protocol Analysis. This is a domain-centric role focused on defining, maintaining, and enhancing the telecom intelligence layer of a global mobile network performance analytics platform. Role: Telecom Domain Expert Location: Pune Experience: 12 to 15 Years Job Type: Full Time Employment What You'll Do: Define and maintain mobile network KPI formulas for network performance analytics platforms. Develop and manage JSON-based metric expressions for accessibility, retainability, mobility, integrity, throughput, and subscriber experience metrics. Create and enhance network scoring methodologies across 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, IMS, and roaming domains. Develop business-relevant network performance indicators used by telecom operators and service providers. Analyze telecom procedures and signaling flows across multiple network generations. Maintain protocol error mappings and cause-code classifications across BSSAP RANAP MAP S1AP GTP-C NGAP PFCP SIP Diameter 5G NAS Define success, failure, congestion, and rejection scenarios for telecom procedures. Define KPIs and analytics for AMF SMF UPF UDM AUSF PCF NRF NSSF CHF SEPP Analyze Registration, Mobility Management, PDU Session, Service Request, and Slice Selection procedures. Define KPI models aligned with 5G SA and NSA deployments. Support analytics evolution for 3GPP Release 16, 17, 18, and future standards. Define and maintain KPIs for Attach Detach TAU Service Request Bearer Management Handover Performance VoLTE Services Analyze EMM and ESM procedures and network performance behaviors. Develop accessibility, retainability, and mobility metrics for LTE networks. Define subscriber-centric performance indicators. Develop roaming analytics KPIs across Diameter, MAP, and inter-PLMN interfaces. Configure top subscriber, roaming user, and device-based analytics models. Support customer experience and service quality measurements. Maintain telecom dimension tables including MCC/MNC mappings APN definitions RAT classifications Bearer types Network interfaces Cause-code dictionaries Develop and maintain XML-based validation rules for Master Data Management (MDM). Ensure data integrity and analytics accuracy across telecom datasets. Validate KPI calculations against real network behavior and signaling traces. Work closely with protocol decoder and software engineering teams. Perform telecom analytics quality assurance and verification. Investigate anomalies, gaps, and inconsistencies within performance metrics. Collaborate with product managers, architects, telecom analysts, and software engineering teams. Monitor 3GPP standards evolution and emerging network technologies. Drive forward-looking analytics design for 5G Advanced and 6G readiness. Define telecom analytics best practices and reusable KPI methodologies. Expertise You'll Bring: 12-15 years of experience in Telecom Networks, Mobile Core Networks, Network Analytics, or Network Performance Management. Deep expertise in 4G LTE, EPC, IMS, and 5G Core network architectures. Strong understanding of AMF, SMF, UPF, UDM, AUSF, PCF, NRF, NSSF, CHF, and SEPP functions. Extensive knowledge of NGAP, NAS, SIP, Diameter, PFCP, S1AP, GTP-C, MAP, and related signaling protocols. Expertise defining KPIs for accessibility, mobility, retainability, integrity, throughput, and subscriber experience. Strong understanding of VoLTE, VoNR, IMS, roaming, and interworking procedures. Experience with network performance analytics, telecom reporting, and subscriber intelligence platforms. Strong knowledge of telecom cause codes, failure scenarios, congestion analysis, and service assurance. Experience working with mobile network operators, telecom vendors, or network analytics solutions. Knowledge of network slicing, NSSAI, 5G SA/NSA deployment models, and service-based architectures. Understanding of telecom data modeling, master data management, and performance reporting frameworks. Experience validating telecom KPIs using signaling traces, protocol data, and network measurements. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis capabilities. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience collaborating with globally distributed engineering, product, and telecom operations teams. Exposure to IMT-2030, 5G Advanced, and emerging 6G technologies is highly desirable.
