Apple Ads Team is seeking a Software Engineer with a passion for data engineering and building large-scale data pipelines. We are looking for someone who is eager to build high-performing, scalable, well-designed back-end systems that are the foundation for critical internal and customer-facing platforms at Apple.
Requirements
["3-10 years of experience in software development in a Java/Linux environment, including hands-on experience building data services or pipelines", "Proficient in Data Engineering concepts across batch and/or streaming", "Solid hands-on experience with Spark or similar distributed data processing frameworks", "Strong programming skills in Java or Scala", "Experience with Cloud Services like EKS, Kubernetes, etc.", "Ability to automate manual tasks to achieve efficiency", "Experience with one or more databases such as MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, Snowflake, Cassandra, etc.", "Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical multi-functional teams", "A desire to work in a fast-paced and challenging work environment", "Preferred: BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree", "Preferred: Exposure to Flink or other stream-processing frameworks", "Preferred: Exposure to building Pub/Sub mechanisms for message flow", "Preferred: Exposure to applied machine learning, analytics, or business intelligence is a plus", "Preferred: Commitment to developing high-quality software and products", "Preferred: Curiosity to explore and understand data is a strong plus"]
