Fix data-type casts, SCD1/SCD2 logic, and lookup or SQL-override issues without changing business logic. Run mappings through IICS and validate connectivity, syntactic execution, and unit testing outcomes. Perform row counts, key checks, surrogate-key checks, schema verification, and sample comparisons against the Synapse baseline. Log, fix, re-run, and promote objects through to final sign-off using defect management processes. Expertise You'll Bring: Hands-on IICS development and administration experience, including mappings, connections, secure agents, parameters, and the IICS Administrator console. Strong understanding of ETL patterns, including SCD Type 1, SCD Type 2, and dimension-then-fact load sequencing. Solid T-SQL skills for data-type casting, SQL overrides, lookups, and remediation. Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric Warehouse and Fabric T-SQL surface-area limitations, or strong Synapse/SQL Server background with willingness to ramp up on Fabric. Experience with Azure SQL Managed Instance as a source system. Proficiency in data reconciliation, including row, key, surrogate-key validation, and sample comparison against a baseline. Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jira for defect tracking and promotion. Prior experience on Synapse-to-Fabric or comparable connection-repointing migrations is preferred.
