Job Title Duck Creek Developer Experience 3–8 Years (Senior Developer: 6–10 Years) Location Pune / Bangalore / Hyderabad / Remote Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Duck Creek Developer to design, configure, develop, and support Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance solutions built on the Duck Creek platform. The candidate will work closely with Business Analysts, Architects, Product Owners, and QA teams to implement policy administration, underwriting, rating, billing, and integration solutions for insurance carriers. Internal Duck Creek materials emphasise configuration, rating, underwriting rules, forms, policy transactions, and integration capabilities. Key Responsibilities Duck Creek Development & Configuration • Configure and develop solutions using Duck Creek Policy. • Develop and maintain: o Product Definitions o Coverage Configurations o Underwriting Rules o Rating Algorithms o Forms & Documents o Policy Transactions • Configure endorsements, renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, and new business workflows. Rules & Rating Development • Develop and maintain Rating Manuscripts and Product Manuscripts. • Implement premium calculation logic and underwriting rules. • Configure referral workflows and exception handling. • Support premium validation and reconciliation activities. Integration Development • Develop integrations between Duck Creek and enterprise applications. • Build and consume REST APIs and web services. • Integrate with Claims, Billing, CRM, Third-Party Data Providers, and Reporting platforms. • Participate in API design, development, and testing activities. Data Migration & Conversion • Support migration from legacy PAS platforms into Duck Creek. • Develop data transformation and conversion logic. • Perform reconciliation and data validation. • Support ETL and migration testing activities. Quality & Support • Conduct unit testing and defect resolution. • Participate in SIT, UAT, and production deployments. • Troubleshoot configuration and production issues. • Support continuous improvement and optimization initiatives. Required Technical Skills Mandatory • Duck Creek Policy • Duck Creek Author • Duck Creek Product Studio • C# • .NET Framework / .NET Core • SQL Server • XML/XSLT • REST APIs • JSON • Git / Azure DevOps Duck Creek platforms internally referenced include Policy administration, rating, underwriting, product configuration, forms, APIs, and cloud-hosted deployments. Preferred • Duck Creek OnDemand • Duck Creek Billing • Duck Creek Forms • Duck Creek Clarity • Azure Cloud • CI/CD Pipelines • Power BI • MuleSoft Insurance Domain Requirements Candidates should possess knowledge of: • Property & Casualty Insurance • Personal Lines Insurance • Commercial Lines Insurance • Policy Administration • Underwriting • Rating & Pricing • Claims Processing • Billing & Payments • Insurance Regulatory Processes Internal documentation highlights these as key functional areas of Duck Creek implementations. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. • 3+ years of software development experience. • 2+ years of Duck Creek experience. • At least one end-to-end Duck Creek implementation project preferred. Nice-to-Have • Mainframe-to-Duck Creek migration experience. • Insurance modernization projects. • Exposure to GenAI-assisted migration and automation initiatives.
