About Position: We are seeking a Senior OTT QA Automation Lead with 12?15 years of experience in test automation, OTT platform validation, video streaming technologies, and large-scale digital media applications. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end quality engineering initiatives across web, mobile, Smart TV, and streaming platforms while driving automation strategy, test architecture, and release quality for high-volume content delivery ecosystems. Role: QA Automation Lead Location: Bengaluru Experience: 12 to 15 years Job Type: Full-Time Employment What You'll Do: Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium, Appium, Playwright, or Cypress. Lead automation development using Java, Python, or JavaScript with TestNG, Cucumber, and BDD/TDD methodologies. Plan and execute comprehensive testing across OTT platforms including Web, Mobile, Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, LG webOS, Samsung Tizen, Smart TVs, and Set-Top Boxes (STBs). Validate video streaming workflows including HLS, MPEG-DASH, Adaptive Bitrate Streaming (ABR), video playback, buffering behavior, startup performance, and audio-video synchronization. Perform DRM and content protection testing covering Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay, subscription validation, content entitlement, and geolocation restrictions. Execute SSAI/AdTech testing for Server-Side Ad Insertion, advertisement playback, tracking, targeting, and monetization workflows. Develop and maintain API automation suites and backend validations using Postman, Rest Assured, Swagger, REST APIs, SQL, and microservices. Perform network and CDN validation using Charles Proxy, traffic inspection tools, network throttling, and streaming diagnostic platforms. Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines and automated release validation processes. Lead cross-device, cross-browser, localization, accessibility, compatibility, performance, and scalability testing initiatives. Analyze defects, perform root-cause analysis, evaluate logs, and work closely with development and platform engineering teams to resolve issues. Define test strategies, test plans, quality metrics, and governance processes for large-scale streaming platforms. Drive continuous improvements in automation coverage, framework scalability, and release quality. Expertise You'll Bring: 12?15 years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Engineering, and Test Automation. Extensive hands-on experience with Selenium, Appium, Playwright, and Cypress automation frameworks. Strong programming expertise in Java, Python, and/or JavaScript. Experience with TestNG, Cucumber, BDD, TDD, and automation framework architecture. Deep expertise in OTT platform testing across Web, Mobile, Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, LG webOS, Samsung Tizen, Smart TVs, and STBs. Strong understanding of video streaming technologies including HLS, MPEG-DASH, Adaptive Bitrate Streaming (ABR), video playback validation, buffering analysis, startup optimization, and audio-video synchronization. Hands-on experience with DRM platforms including Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay, content entitlement, subscription management, and geo-restriction validation. Experience testing SSAI and AdTech ecosystems, including ad insertion, playback validation, ad tracking, reporting, and monetization workflows. Strong API automation and backend validation experience using Postman, Rest Assured, Swagger, REST APIs, SQL, and microservices architecture. Experience with network diagnostics, CDN validation, Charles Proxy, traffic monitoring, network throttling, and streaming analytics tools. Expertise integrating automation frameworks with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong knowledge of cross-browser, cross-device, accessibility, localization, compatibility, performance, and scalability testing methodologies. Experience in defect management, root-cause analysis, log analysis, quality governance, and release management. Proven ability to define enterprise test strategies, automation roadmaps, and quality assurance best practices. Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and mentoring skills. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and leading large QA teams supporting enterprise-scale streaming platforms.
