About Position: We are seeking an experienced Vulnerability Management Analyst to join our Cybersecurity team and play a critical role in protecting enterprise systems, applications, and data assets. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in vulnerability assessment, risk analysis, threat intelligence, remediation coordination, and security operations. This role involves identifying, validating, prioritizing, tracking, and driving remediation of vulnerabilities while collaborating with IT, infrastructure, application, and security teams to strengthen the organization’s security posture. Role: Vulnerability Management Analyst Location: Pune Experience: 5 to 8 Years Job Type: Full-Time Employment What You'll Do: Monitor, analyze, and respond to security vulnerabilities and emerging zero-day threats using vulnerability management and security monitoring platforms. Perform vulnerability assessments across infrastructure, applications, cloud environments, and enterprise systems. Identify, aggregate, categorize, validate, and prioritize vulnerabilities based on business risk and threat impact. Conduct risk assessments by evaluating vulnerability severity, exploitability, asset criticality, and potential business impact. Analyze vulnerability findings and determine applicability within the enterprise environment. Coordinate remediation and mitigation activities with infrastructure teams, application owners, and business stakeholders. Track remediation efforts and ensure vulnerabilities are resolved within defined service level agreements. Develop and enhance vulnerability management processes, procedures, and operational guidelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement security controls and protection mechanisms. Utilize threat intelligence platforms and external sources to proactively identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities. Apply CVSS scoring methodologies, including temporal and environmental factors, to determine accurate vulnerability severity ratings. Review system configurations against industry security standards such as CIS Benchmarks and STIGs. Analyze application security vulnerabilities and assess risks associated with OWASP Top 10 and CWE weaknesses. Participate in cybersecurity projects aimed at improving vulnerability management and enterprise security posture. Prepare dashboards, metrics, reports, and executive summaries on vulnerability trends, remediation status, and risk exposure. Support audits, compliance assessments, and security governance initiatives. Conduct root cause analysis and recommend long-term remediation and risk reduction strategies. Maintain security documentation, technical procedures, standards, and operational playbooks. Expertise You'll Bring: 5-8 years of experience in Vulnerability Management, Cybersecurity Operations, or Information Security. Strong hands-on experience with Tenable or similar vulnerability assessment and management platforms. Experience identifying, validating, prioritizing, and managing vulnerabilities in enterprise environments. Strong understanding of vulnerability lifecycle management and remediation processes. Knowledge of threat intelligence platforms and external threat intelligence sources. Expertise in vulnerability risk assessment and security posture evaluation. Strong understanding of Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) methodologies. Experience applying environmental and temporal scoring adjustments to vulnerability assessments. Knowledge of operating systems, network protocols, and enterprise infrastructure technologies. Understanding of application security vulnerabilities, including OWASP Top 10 and CWE frameworks. Experience reviewing and validating secure configuration standards such as CIS Benchmarks and STIGs. Familiarity with vulnerability remediation across servers, endpoints, databases, cloud environments, and applications. Experience collaborating with infrastructure, development, and operations teams to drive remediation activities. Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills. Experience preparing security reports, dashboards, and executive-level communications. Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, governance practices, and compliance requirements. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences. Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and distributed teams.
