About Position: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Azure Identity Engineer with 15-20 years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and enterprise authentication modernization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading large-scale authentication migrations from legacy identity platforms to Microsoft Entra ID while ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant identity solutions. Role: Senior Azure Identity Engineer Location: Bangalore Experience: 15-20 Years Job Type: Full-Time Employment What You'll Do: Lead application authentication migrations from LDAP, Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA), and legacy identity providers to Microsoft Entra ID. Analyze and classify enterprise applications and determine the most appropriate authentication model (SAML, OIDC, OAuth2, SaaS, Legacy, or On-Premises). Estimate migration efforts, define implementation strategies, and execute migration roadmaps. Configure and onboard enterprise applications in Microsoft Entra ID. Implement and manage Single Sign-On (SSO) using SAML, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and OAuth2 protocols. Configure claims mapping, group assignments, role-based access controls, and SCIM provisioning. Perform migration testing, validation, cutover planning, rollback procedures, and production deployment activities. Design and support hybrid identity architectures using Microsoft Entra Connect and Cloud Sync. Manage App Registrations, Service Principals, API permissions, consent frameworks, and authentication flows. Administer credential lifecycle management including secret rotation, certificate management, and expiration monitoring. Implement and manage Microsoft Entra Privileged Identity Management (PIM) solutions. Configure Just-In-Time (JIT) access, eligible roles, approval workflows, access reviews, and time-based privileged access. Conduct PIM deployment planning, role discovery, pilot implementations, and user communication initiatives. Define and enforce identity governance, security, compliance, and access management policies. Collaborate with security, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams to strengthen enterprise security posture. Develop operational documentation, migration guides, governance frameworks, and standard operating procedures. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering and support teams. Drive continuous improvements in identity security, automation, and operational efficiency. Expertise You'll Bring: 15-20 years of overall IT experience with strong expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM). Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory). Proven experience migrating enterprise applications from Active Directory and legacy identity systems to Microsoft Entra ID. Strong understanding of authentication and authorization technologies including SAML 2.0 OpenID Connect (OIDC) OAuth2 LDAP Kerberos Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) Deep expertise in Enterprise SSO implementations and identity federation. Experience with Microsoft Entra Connect and Cloud Sync deployment and administration. Strong understanding of hybrid identity architectures and identity synchronization strategies. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra Privileged Identity Management (PIM). Expertise in Azure RBAC, role governance, JIT access, access reviews, and privileged access controls. Experience managing App Registrations, Service Principals, API Permissions, and Consent Governance. Strong understanding of identity security, compliance, governance, and audit requirements. Experience with SCIM provisioning and automated identity lifecycle management. Strong troubleshooting capabilities across authentication, federation, and identity synchronization issues. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to lead enterprise-scale identity transformation and modernization initiatives. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Experience working in global enterprise environments with cross-functional teams.
