About Position: We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux System Administrator to join our Infrastructure and Cloud Operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Linux Administration, AWS Cloud Operations, and LAMP Stack management, along with experience supporting large-scale production environments. This role is focused on ensuring high availability, stability, security, and performance of mission-critical systems in a 24?7 operations support environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Linux-based infrastructure, troubleshooting complex technical issues, participating in major incident management, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and efficient IT operations. Role: Senior Linux System Administrator Location: Pune Experience: 5 to 8 Years Job Type: Full-Time Employment What You'll Do: Administer, maintain, and support Linux-based production infrastructure across enterprise environments. Manage and support AWS cloud infrastructure and related operational activities. Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Linux operating systems. Administer and maintain LAMP Stack components including Linux, Apache, MySQL/MariaDB, and PHP. Monitor infrastructure health, availability, performance, and capacity using enterprise monitoring tools. Perform system performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization activities. Manage backups, system recovery procedures, and operational maintenance tasks. Handle L2/L3 incidents and ensure timely resolution within agreed service levels. Participate in major incident management activities and drive issue resolution efforts. Conduct root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement preventive measures. Automate routine administrative and operational tasks using Shell and Bash scripting. Create, maintain, and enhance operational documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles. Collaborate with Cloud, Security, Network, Database, and Application Support teams to resolve infrastructure issues. Support security patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance-related activities. Participate in 24?7 rotational shifts, on-call support, weekend support, and planned maintenance activities as required. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency and platform reliability. Expertise You'll Bring: 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Linux System Administration within enterprise environments. Strong expertise in Linux operating systems and command-line administration. Proven experience supporting mission-critical applications in a 24?7 operations support model. Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting LAMP Stack environments. Solid understanding of Apache Web Server, PHP, MySQL, and MariaDB administration. Experience working with AWS cloud services and cloud operations activities. Knowledge of cloud computing concepts, infrastructure services, and operational best practices. Understanding of database administration concepts, backup strategies, and performance management. Experience with system monitoring, alerting, performance tuning, and capacity planning. Strong troubleshooting skills across operating systems, applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms. Experience with Shell scripting, Bash scripting, and automation of routine operational tasks. Knowledge of security best practices, patch management, and vulnerability remediation. Familiarity with ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Management. Experience handling major incidents and performing root cause analysis. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Experience maintaining operational documentation, procedures, and support runbooks.
