About Position: We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with deep expertise in advanced Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Knowledge Graphs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, building intelligent systems end-to-end, and driving measurable impact in data-rich environments. Role: Senior Data Scientist Location: Pune Experience: 8 to 12 years Job Type: Full Time Employment What You'll Do: Design advanced ML models across NLP, optimization, predictive modeling, and statistical learning Own end-to-end MLOps pipelines including data ingestion, training, deployment, monitoring, and CI/CD Collaborate with engineering, product, and domain teams to deliver production-ready AI solutions Build and scale Knowledge Graph?driven AI systems including ontology design, graph embeddings, and reasoning Develop and fine-tune LLMs for classification, summarization, RAG, and agentic workflows Expertise You'll Bring: PhD (preferred) or Master?s in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related fields Strong hands-on experience with core ML & statistics including optimization and supervised/unsupervised learning Experience in NLP including semantic search, embeddings, and text modeling Strong exposure to MLOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines Proficiency in Python along with frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, HuggingFace, and LangChain, and experience with cloud platforms Ability to translate complex ideas into scalable, real-world systems Expertise in Knowledge Graphs including RDF/OWL, Neo4j, and graph machine learning Strong understanding of LLMs and Transformers including fine-tuning, RAG, and prompt engineering Preferred: Healthcare insurance / Managed Care (MCO) experience with familiarity in claims, clinical workflows, risk models, or regulatory frameworks Preferred: Experience with vector databases, hybrid semantic-neural architectures, or agentic AI systems Preferred: Background in explainable or responsible AI Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package Culture focused on talent development with quarterly growth opportunities and company-sponsored higher education and certifications Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies Employee engagement initiatives such as project parties, flexible work hours, and Long Service awards Annual health check-ups Insurance coverage: group term life, personal accident, and Mediclaim hospitalization for self, spouse, two children, and parents Values-Driven, People-Centric & Inclusive Work Environment: Persistent is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
