About Position: We are seeking a Principal .NET Technical Lead / Engineering Lead with 15+ years of experience in enterprise application development, technical leadership, and solution architecture. The role will lead the design, development, modernization, and delivery of critical applications across Risk, Product Control, and ESG IT domains. The ideal candidate will combine deep hands-on expertise in C#/.NET with strong leadership capabilities, driving engineering excellence, technical strategy, modernization initiatives, and delivery governance within a complex enterprise environment. Role: .NET Technical Lead Location: Pune Experience: 15+ years Job Type: Full-Time Employment What You'll Do: Lead technical analysis, design, and development of applications, services, APIs, batch components, and platform capabilities across Risk, Product Control, and ESG IT. Act as the C#/.NET Subject Matter Expert (SME), defining engineering direction and ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, testable, and aligned with design patterns and SOLID principles. Contribute directly to software development while reviewing technical designs, pull requests, architecture decisions, and implementation approaches. Drive delivery of CTB (Change the Bank) initiatives, including new products, platform enhancements, methodology changes, feature development, and greenfield solutions. Apply and extend Asterisk patterns, including reusable .NET libraries, orchestration components, configuration frameworks, amendment services, templates, and operational dashboards. Lead modernization initiatives, including migration of Windows-hosted services to OpenShift, containerization strategies, deployment readiness, technical debt reduction, and platform transformation. Design and optimize integrations across MongoDB, SQL Server, data warehouse environments, REST APIs, enterprise applications, and messaging platforms such as ActiveMQ. Coordinate development activities across internal and external teams, including work breakdown, effort estimation, sprint planning, dependency management, and technical issue resolution. Mentor and coach development teams on C#, .NET, OpenShift, MongoDB, SQL, software engineering best practices, and technical leadership. Ensure appropriate unit, integration, regression, and system testing practices are applied throughout the development lifecycle. Support UAT, production releases, cutover planning, post-release stabilization, and early-life support activities. Collaborate closely with business users, methodology teams, delivery managers, support teams, and technology stakeholders to ensure successful delivery aligned to business priorities. Ensure adherence to development standards, SDLC processes, security requirements, operational resilience controls, and change management procedures. Identify risks early, provide mitigation strategies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering teams. Expertise You'll Bring: 15+ years of experience as a Senior Developer, Technical Lead, Principal Engineer, Engineering Lead, or Solution Architect in complex enterprise environments. Expert-level hands-on experience in C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, and modern .NET development. Proven track record leading enterprise-scale application development and technical delivery programs. Strong experience producing technical designs, solution architectures, implementation strategies, and engineering standards. Deep understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, microservices architecture, domain-driven design, and scalable distributed systems. Strong expertise in relational databases, SQL development, query optimization, database design, and data warehouse integration. Extensive experience with MongoDB and document-oriented database design, performance tuning, and optimization. Strong experience building REST APIs, service-oriented solutions, and enterprise integration patterns. Knowledge of enterprise messaging platforms such as ActiveMQ or equivalent messaging technologies. Experience with automated testing practices, including unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and quality engineering methodologies. Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, source control, and development tools including Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, JIRA, NuGet, and related DevOps tooling. Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, containerization, and cloud-native application modernization. Experience delivering Change-the-Bank (CTB) initiatives in highly regulated production environments. Exposure to Risk IT, Product Control, ESG platforms, Regulatory Technology, or Financial Services domain environments is highly desirable. Strong technical leadership with the ability to guide senior engineers, conduct design reviews, and establish engineering best practices. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, mentoring, and coaching skills. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and technical governance capabilities. Proven ability to balance engineering quality, business objectives, delivery timelines, and risk management.
