About Position: We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect / Data Solutions Lead with deep expertise in Personal Lines Insurance, Data Modernization, Cloud Data Platforms, and Duck Creek ecosystems. The ideal candidate will lead enterprise-scale data transformation initiatives involving the migration of legacy Mainframe and DB2 environments to modern cloud-based platforms leveraging Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Python, and Duck Creek Clarity. In this role, you will be responsible for defining data architecture strategies, designing scalable data platforms, establishing robust data quality frameworks, and enabling advanced analytics across Automobile, Homeowners, and Personal Property insurance lines. You will work closely with business stakeholders, underwriting teams, actuaries, claims organizations, and engineering teams to build high-quality, business-aligned data solutions that support operational excellence and digital transformation. Role: Senior Data Architect Location: Pune Experience: 12 to 15 Years Job Type: Full-Time Employment What You'll Do: Define and lead the enterprise data architecture strategy for Personal Lines insurance modernization initiatives. Design scalable and high-performance data platforms supporting policy, billing, claims, underwriting, and customer data domains. Architect multi-line data models that integrate Automobile, Homeowners, and Personal Property insurance data into a unified ecosystem. Design and govern data ingestion frameworks for Duck Creek Clarity policy, billing, and claims data. Build and optimize end-to-end ETL and ELT pipelines using Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Python, and cloud-native services. Lead large-scale migration programs involving Mainframe, DB2, relational databases, and legacy insurance platforms. Develop source-to-target mapping frameworks, data transformation rules, and migration validation strategies. Establish enterprise-grade Data Quality (DQ) frameworks, controls, monitoring, and reconciliation processes. Implement automated data profiling, validation, anomaly detection, and exception management processes. Design data models that support underwriting analytics, claims analytics, risk assessment, actuarial analysis, and regulatory reporting. Partner with underwriting, actuarial, product, and business teams to enable data-driven decision making. Develop data architectures supporting predictive analytics, pricing optimization, customer lifetime value analysis, and risk modeling. Optimize Snowflake environments for performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency. Design and implement PostgreSQL database architectures, indexing strategies, and performance tuning solutions. Establish data governance, metadata management, lineage tracking, and data stewardship practices. Collaborate with cloud architects, application teams, and business stakeholders to align data architecture with enterprise goals. Lead architecture reviews, design governance activities, and technology assessments. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to data architects, engineers, and analysts. Create architecture blueprints, technical standards, implementation roadmaps, and best practice documentation. Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and enterprise data management standards. Expertise You'll Bring: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. 12-15 years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Data Management, or Enterprise Data Solutions. Minimum 5+ years of experience working within Personal Lines Insurance, including Automobile, Homeowners, and Personal Property domains. Deep understanding of insurance business processes including policy administration, underwriting, claims, billing, renewals, endorsements, and risk assessment. Extensive hands-on experience with Duck Creek Clarity data models, transactional databases, and operational data stores. Proven experience designing enterprise data architectures for Duck Creek implementations and modernization programs. Expert-level knowledge of Snowflake architecture, performance optimization, clustering, data sharing, and cost management. Strong expertise in PostgreSQL database architecture, optimization, indexing, and performance tuning. Advanced Python programming experience for ETL development, automation, data processing, and data quality frameworks. Strong SQL expertise with experience designing complex queries, transformations, validations, and reconciliations. Extensive experience leading large-scale Mainframe and legacy platform migration initiatives. Expertise in data modeling techniques including conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling. Experience designing and implementing enterprise Data Quality frameworks and governance controls. Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, master data management, and data governance principles. Experience building scalable cloud-based analytics and reporting platforms. Ability to design solutions supporting underwriting analytics, actuarial analytics, risk modeling, and regulatory reporting requirements. Strong leadership experience managing distributed teams and complex transformation programs. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills. Proven ability to lead architecture discussions and influence strategic technology decisions.
