About Position: We are seeking an experienced Release Management Engineer / Analyst to support and execute software release and deployment activities across enterprise and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating release schedules, managing deployment activities, ensuring adherence to change management processes, and minimizing risks during production releases. This role requires strong collaboration with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and CloudOps teams to ensure successful and seamless software delivery. Role: Release Management Engineer Location: Pune Experience: 5 to 8 Years Job Type: Full Time Employment What You'll Do: Support release planning, scheduling, and deployment activities across multiple environments. Coordinate with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and CloudOps teams to ensure release readiness. Execute software releases following established SDLC, Release Management, and ITIL processes. Manage release calendars and deployment schedules. Ensure all release prerequisites are completed before deployment activities. Perform pre-release validation checks and deployment readiness assessments. Prepare rollback plans and contingency procedures for production releases. Validate release packages, deployment artifacts, and version controls. Maintain release documentation, deployment records, audit logs, and governance reports. Ensure compliance with change management and release governance standards. Monitor release execution and deployment activities. Identify and troubleshoot release-related issues during deployments. Support production incident management during release windows. Collaborate with technical teams to resolve deployment challenges and minimize business impact. Escalate critical issues appropriately and ensure timely resolution. Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation initiatives. Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance release efficiency and reliability. Participate in automation efforts for release validation and deployment processes. Ensure consistent deployment practices across environments. Work closely with project teams, business stakeholders, developers, testers, and operations teams. Communicate release schedules, risks, deployment status, and outcomes. Participate in change advisory board (CAB) discussions and release reviews. Provide regular updates on release progress and deployment readiness. Expertise You'll Bring: 5-8 years of experience in Release Management, Deployment Management, Production Support, or Application Operations. Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Hands-on experience managing application releases across multiple environments. Knowledge of release planning, deployment scheduling, and change management practices. Experience supporting enterprise application deployments and upgrades. Experience supporting enterprise applications and business-critical systems. Knowledge of Progress 4GL environments and application deployments. Experience with Progress 4GL Database YAB QAD Applications Understanding of enterprise application architecture and deployment models. Experience with version control systems such as Git SVN Exposure to CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines. Understanding of release automation and DevOps practices. Familiarity with build and deployment workflows. Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments. Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS Microsoft Azure Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Experience supporting cloud-based and hybrid application deployments. Basic understanding of infrastructure and environment management Familiarity with Change Management Release Management Incident Management Problem Management Experience working within ITIL-driven operational environments. Understanding of release governance, audit requirements, and compliance standards. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
